Kesha’s “Resentment” Broadcast Using the Tiny Planet Effect for the First Time on Network TV

Kesha Tiny Planet

For the first time on network television, Supersphere has captured a live event in 360° video using the “Tiny Planet” effect in a live broadcast.

The groundbreaking broadcast was for Kesha’s performance of her new single “Resentment” on The Late Late Show With James Corden, which first aired on the night of Thursday, January 30.

Kesha has continually pushed musical and visual boundaries throughout her career, and worked with her creative team at WP & A (best known for their work with Rihanna, Jay Z, Drake, and more) to choreograph a performance and create visually stunning content that engages viewers.

The broadcast represents not just a technological achievement but an evolution of the viewing experience. At a time when capturing audience attention is at a premium, immersive media like “Tiny Planet,” 360° video and VR livestreams offer performers a powerful way to connect and engage with their fans. With over 100 fully produced immersive events in the past two years, audience numbers and artist profiles are consistently increasing.

Supersphere had been tapped by WP&A for the breakthrough broadcast. To produce the “Tiny Planet” effect live, Supersphere utilized a custom version of Voysys software to manipulate the re-projection of the 360° image while doing a rectilinear 16:9 output.
